Bare skin, bare feet, and weekends that unfold without plans. Concerts by the water, salt air on sun-warmed skin, and moments that feel unmistakably real. This is New York at ease. With Jones Beach, Bond No. 9 captures a retro chic scent portrait of the beloved seaside refuge where generations of New Yorkers have escaped the city for sun, sand, and freedom.
Translated into fragrance, Jones Beach reflects authentic New York character and heritage. It is infused with nostalgia, personality, and the unmistakable spirit that defines Bond No. 9’s city-inspired creations. “The feeling is very vintage,” says Bond No. 9 founder and president Laurice Rahme. “It’s quintessentially New York. In the seventies, most New Yorkers went to Jones Beach. It was about the sand, the boardwalk, the music. It was, and still is, the people’s beach. That’s what New York is all about.”
To evoke the soul of this iconic destination, French perfumer Aurélien Guichard composed a breezy, sunlit eau de parfum that feels both relaxed and timeless. Marine-tinged calone opens the scent with a fresh oceanic note, followed by a heart of radiant orange flower absolute. The base settles into smooth white musk and warm amber drawn from violet wood, lending a subtle sensuality that lingers on the skin.
The result is a watery, fresh orange flower fragrance that feels effortless and inclusive, designed to be worn by both women and men. “It’s sunny, carefree, refreshing, and very simple in terms of the notes,” Rahme explains. “It’s easy. Perfect for summer.”
