Embark on a sensory journey with Good Oud, a fragrance that transcends borders and speaks in the language of spice, smoke and sacred resin, and simply puts one in a tranquil good mood.
"In creating Good Oud, we wanted to awaken something primal, yet refined," says Bond No. 9 Founder Laurice Rahme. "This is a scent about exploration - of self, of place and of pleasure."
Developed in partnership with master perfumer Miroslav Petkov, Good Oud conjures both faraway lands - bazaars glowing with crimson spices, temples scented with smoke resins and gardens bursting with ripe fruit and ancient botanicals - and the diverse intricacies of each and every NYC neighborhood.
Good Oud is a richly spiced, resinous oriental fragrance with both a commanding presence and meditative calm. It opens with the earthy tang of sumac, softened by sensual magnolia and osmanthus flower. A note of spicy cinnamon bark and cumin seed ignites the senses and adds a grounding layer. The heart of the fragrance is a glowing ember of pomegranate seeds, sacred myrrh resin, warm Peru balsam, and aromatic clary sage - a deep, mysterious blend that evokes far-off lands and ancient rituals. Finally, the base smolders with richness: smooth vanilla bean, intense labdanum resnin, decadent patchouli and the magnetic pull of smoky red oud - the soul of the scent and its enduring signature.
The classic Bond No. 9 Silhouette Bottle gets a moody makeover: Good Oud is cloaked in deep aubergine lacquer, a nod to royalty. mystery and the night sky.
