"We moesten Greenwich Village doen. Het is zo rijk aan cultuur", zegt Laurice Rahme, oprichter en directeur van Bond No. 9, over de nieuwste geur in haar portfolio met legendarische geuren geïnspireerd op New York City. "Ik dacht aan schilders en muzikanten, de jazzclubs en de schaakcafés waar ik in de jaren zeventig naartoe ging toen ik voor het eerst in New York kwam. The Village is intiem; het is echt."
