NEW YORK AMBER

At Bond No. 9, our reputation has been built on New York–centric scents that capture the spirit of the city’s legendary and emerging neighborhoods—from Riverside Drive to Nouveau Bowery to Coney Island. In parallel, we have begun creating eau de parfums that are metro-accented odes to our favorite fragrance notes, giving them a distinctly New York identity.

Following New York Oud, a tribute to Eastern-world wood reimagined for our fast-paced, multifaceted cityscape, comes New York Amber. This shared male-female fragrance celebrates a different side of New York: its seductive, sophisticated edge. The centerpiece of New York Amber is amber itself—a musky, earthy, honey-colored resin with a haunting liquor-gold hue, prized for centuries as both a perfume ingredient and an alluring gemstone.

Although amber originates far from New York, along the Baltic shores, it embodies all the city’s intelligence and elegance—smooth as twilight on the Hudson, sparkling like cocktails at a skyscraper aerie, and as timeless as a Gershwin rhapsody in gold. Historically revered by the Greeks, who associated it with the Sun God, amber in New York Amber is elevated by complementary notes that highlight its metropolitan sophistication.

The fragrance opens with bright and refined accents of saffron, nutmeg, and white peppercorn, lifted by zesty bergamot. A heart of rose, jasmine, and osmanthus adds a classic floral richness that bridges the opening to the warm, enduring base. The dry down reveals amber at its most sumptuous, enhanced by oud, sandalwood, musk, and myrrh, creating a seamlessly seductive experience.
